Expansion of Castle Rock Recreation Center Underway
The Castle Rock Recreation Center, located at 2301 N. Woodlands Blvd., began a $6.6 million expansion project in early April, and expects to be completed in February, 2006. The project will increase program space for high demand activities, specifically in the areas of youth and aquatics, and improve cardiovascular, free weight and exercise areas. The aquatics expansion includes a multiuse leisure pool, lazy river, exterior water slides, splash down area, water play area for kids, interactive water features, and zero depth entry. There will also be an expanded area for preschool and birthday parties, additional office space and parking. Castle Pines North residents may use the Castle Rock Recreation center, but must pay “non-resident” entrance fees. CPN residents may also use the Parker and Lone Tree recreation centers at “non-resident” rates.
