Exciting changes at Susan G. Komen Colorado Race for the Cure in Denver
Information and map provided by Susan G. Komen Colorado
As we eagerly anticipate the 2014 Susan G. Komen Colorado Race for
the Cure in Denver September 28 at the Pepsi Center, we are thrilled to
announce several exciting changes to this year’s Race, including a new
Race route, more parking, and a later race start time.
Race Route
As in previous years, the Race will take place at one of Denver’s
favorite places, the Pepsi Center. This year, however, the start and
finish line will both be on Auraria Parkway, which gives you more time
to enjoy the post-race refreshments, race sponsor expo, and survivor
celebration after the Race.
The views of downtown Denver and Sports Authority Field at Mile
High will be tremendous and this year you will also play a huge part in
making two “ribbons” along the race course that will create incredible
aerial photos. This new route will create more opportunities for
participants to experience all the fun and exciting things Race for the
Cure in Denver has to offer.
Family Walk Route
The Family Fun Walk will be taking place on the West side of the
Pepsi Center. Entertainment, cheerleaders, and Denver sports team
mascots will encourage families to celebrate by walking on race day.
All participants will finish near the race sponsor expo and survivor
celebration stage.
