Excellence recognized
The 2024 BMW Championship, held at the Castle Pines Golf Club, was named “Tournament of the Year” for a record sixth time. The tournament was also honored with the award for “Best Tournament Sales.”
Nine PGA TOUR tournaments were recognized with “Best Of” awards for last year’s PGA TOUR Season at the TOUR’s annual Tournament Meetings held last month in Orlando.
“These awards truly belong to a larger team and are reflective of all the work that went into putting on a first-class PGA TOUR event,” said Duffy Solich, the General Chairman of the 2024 BMW Championship and Village resident. “It is my honor to congratulate our entire membership who supported this event in every way, all our 70-plus member committees, our great staff at Castle Pines Golf Club, our wonderful community and its leaders and of course our incredible partners: the WGA, BMW, and the PGA TOUR.”
The 2024 BMW Championship delivered a record-setting charitable contribution to the ESF, raising $10.2 million for caddie scholarships. Since 2007, the BMW Championship has contributed $60.2 million to ESF, helping award full tuition and housing college scholarships to more than 3,600 caddies during that time.
“The Western Golf Association (WGA) and BMW have perfected the recipe for success, and partnering this year with Castle Pines Golf Club and an engaged Denver community took the event to new heights in delivering both a premium fan experience and record-setting charitable contributions for the Evans Scholars Foundation (ESF),” said Tyler Dennis, PGA TOUR chief competitions officer.
