Earn money for your school and have fun!

Information from the Douglas County Educational Foundation website

The 2nd Annual Fittin’ It In 5k race will take place on April 28 at 9 a.m. at Highlands Ranch High School. The Douglas County School District, in partnership with the Douglas County Educational Foundation (DCEF), the Douglas County Federation and the Boulder Running Company are sponsoring this fundraising event to benefit schools in the county.

This is a fun way to earn money for area schools and the proceeds from the race go directly to Douglas County Schools. Race participants can even select which school will receive the proceeds from their race. The school with the most entries will receive an extra $1,000 from Boulder Running Company.

Since 1990, the DCEF has been developed private resources to enrich educational programs within the school district. The funds raised by these groups directly improve student learning in classrooms throughout DCSD. Each of the different community events held throughout the year allow the families of DCSD to come together as a community as well as raise money for their schools.

A brochure with a registration form and information on the race can be found online at www.dcsdk12.org. Click on “Community” and then “DCEF.” Information on all fundraising events can also be found on the web page.
