Veteran broadcast journalist Beverly Weaver (pictured above right) recently interviewed Douglas County Commissioner Jill Repella in a Comcast Newsmakers segment that aired on CNN Headline News.
Repella discussed the role of the county in fostering a strong economy; the value of a healthy business climate, and the importance of government transparency and engagement with citizens and taxpayers, including the business taxpayers.
“This was a great opportunity to further the message that Douglas County has a strong interest in partnering with the business community,” said Repella. “We’ve changed our process; we’ve changed our culture; we’re recognizing that in the business community time is money and we are establishing trust and partnership with the business community in trying to support them and their success in getting their business doors open as soon as possible.”
