DCSD’s interim superintendent shared insights as part of the Chamber Speaker Series

Douglas County School District Interim Superintendent Erin Kane spoke to residents at the Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines about the school district, its challenges and solutions to these challenges.

On September 6, Douglas County Interim Superintendent Erin Kane shared her thoughts about the school district with approximately 25 residents at the Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines.

A former resident of Castle Pines North, Kane was part of the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce Speaker Series and discussed the school district in general, as well as its funding challenges, how it impacts the Douglas County economy and possible solutions to the challenges.

“The Castle Pines Chamber is excited to bring a variety of speakers that are meant to engage the community in meaningful topics,” said Castle Pines Chamber Membership Director Amy Shanahan. “Douglas County School District’s Interim Superintendent Erin Kane provided a wealth of information regarding the financial state of our school district. Her presentation was impactful for all who attended because the quality of our schools and staff directly impact the overall value of our community.”
