DC Task Force gives “a reason to wine”
Information submitted by the Douglas/Ebert Task Force
Now more than ever our Douglas County neighbors need our help. The Douglas/Elbert Task Force’s mission is to provide for those in need. To do that, the Task Force is hosting “A Reason to Wine,” a wine tasting with an art and silent auction, to raise money toward the goal of building a new food bank to serve the area.
A Reason to Wine will take place Friday, May 1, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Plum Creek Golf and Country Club, but the planning is under way. For the evening to be a success, the Task Force needs businesses, organizations and individuals to be a financial sponsor for the event or to provide wine and art related items for the silent auction.
Through the food bank, thrift store and service programs, the Douglas/Ebert Task Force served more than 13,000 people in 2008. With your support, the Task Force can continue to prevent hunger and homelessness and preserve the dignity of our neighbors in need.
