The father daughter dance at The Country Club at Castle Pines is an annual event that has become a tradition for many of the club’s members. This year, the event took place on March 4 and was attended by more than 85 dads and their daughters.
Castle Pines Village resident Scott Hansen has attended for the past nine years with his daughter Ashley, and for them it is one of their favorite nights of the year. Hansen remarked, “It has become such an awesome tradition for us, including our favorite ‘slow dance’ song ‘My Little Girl’ by Tim McGraw. The first thing Ashley does when she gets there is to request that song from the DJ to make sure it is on his playlist.” Ashley had a more humorous take on the evening, stating, “My favorite part of the night is watching my dad dance. He thinks he is good; especially when he dabs.”
Highlights of the evening always include a special dinner, traditional dances like the chicken dance and Macarena and a special gift for each daughter, which this year was a “teddy bear” rhinestone necklace. The father daughter dance is just one of the many social events that The Country Club at Castle Pines offers its members. For more information, visit www.ccatcastlepines.com
