Classic cars are just part of the fun at the Hot Rods in the Village event on August 16. The owners of these beauties are full of stories and adventures and are happy to share. Food, drinks and live music round out this annual event in The Village at Castle Pines.

The Vintage Car Club (VCC) of Castle Rock is excited to host its sixth annual “Hot Rods in the Village” car show on August 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in The Village at Castle Pines. This is a fun-filled event featuring a wide range of cars varying from classic to cool, as well as live music, food and drinks.

This event is free to the public and offers something for the whole family. “The Fabulous Parker Brothers” will provide the backdrop with fun live music, while the Douglas County Veterans Monument Foundation will be hosting a beer and wine garden. Food from local vendors will be available and attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite car in 12 different categories.

The VCC of Castle Rock was formed in 2007 and is a wonderful club for anyone interested in vintage and classic cars, trucks or motorcycles. According to Club President Roger Maddaford, “Our mission is to promote the preservation and restoration of vintage and classic vehicles, to encourage skillful and safe driving, to hold social activities for our members, and to support local charities.”

Each year, the VCC chooses one or more charities to support through various fundraising efforts. All of the proceeds from the Hot Rods in the Village show will benefit the Crisis Center of Castle Rock and Praying Hands Ranch of Parker.

This event is an intimate car show for enthusiasts and browsers alike. The organizers are expecting up to 90 cars, including vintage coupes and sedans, classic trucks, muscle cars, and hot rods. Join your friends and neighbors for this exciting event in The Village at Castle Pines!
