CPN’s Bookmobile is Open for Business

Castle Pines North’s new bookmobile service kicked off with a grand opening celebration on May 16. Those who attended enjoyed cake, lemonade, freebies, and prizes while touring the new mobile, and learning how to use CPN’s new library service.

According to Lane Roberts, a member of the CPN community who attended the event, “The bookmobile is completely computerized, has a scanner for easy check-out, is climate controlled, and offers a great variety and selection of books, videos and DVDs for adults and kids alike.”

One of the greatest aspects of the new service is its convenience. Not only does the bookmobile carry a nice selection of books, but if any resident of Douglas County wants to renew or reserve any sort of library item, it can be done via the Internet or the bookmobile. Requested items will be transferred to the bookmobile for pick up.

Library items (i.e. books, DVDs, videos, etc…) can be dropped off at the bookmobile during its hours of operation, placed in a 24-hour-a-day drop off bin located in the King Soopers parking lot, or returned to any Douglas County Library branch.

The bookmobile’s regular hours are Noon – 5 p.m. on Sundays and 3 p.m. – 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays.

For more information, call the bookmobile at 303-886-6488, or visit the Douglas County Library web site at http://www.douglascountylibraries.org/.
