CPN Sixth Graders Head Off to Middle School
With a decision made last spring, the sixth graders at both Timber Trail Elementary and Buffalo Ridge Elementary will pack their backpacks and head off to Rocky Heights Middle School. This is the first group of sixth graders entering middle school in the Castle Pines North area.
Now that the change has occurred, families are looking forward to the many opportunities that will be available at the middle school level that simply weren’t a possibility in an elementary school. Rocky Heights offers more programs for students, not only in academia like foreign languages, but also in extracurricular activities including music and sport programs.
School begins August 15 for all grades at Rocky Heights. The sixth and seventh graders had their first taste of middle school on August 12 with a half day orientation. To learn more about Rocky Heights visit their web site at www.dcsd.k12.co.us/secondary/rhms.
