Former Master Association Board member – now mayor, Jeff Huff, was replaced recently by an intriguing member of the Castle Pines North (CPN) community.

Steve Labossiere (pictured left), a six-year resident of Forest Park, has stepped up to serve as the newest Master Association board member. Labossiere comes from a military family and moved around his entire life. His family settled in Florida when Labossiere was college age and he graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor of science degree in Accounting.

After spending a few years working on Wall Street, he moved to California, met his future wife, Resa, moved again and was married in Luxembourg. After several years there, the couple moved to Hungary where Labossiere became a founding partner of Deloitte Central Europe (DCE), a firm that covered more that 17 countries and grew to more than 1,600 professionals in five years. Although Labossiere is currently retired, he keeps busy managing his investment portfolio, doing home improvement projects, and taking care of their two British Labrador Retrievers.

While Labossiere does not have previous experience with community boards, he does have extensive professional experience with starting and running businesses. In addition to being a founding partner of DCE, he was the CFO and COO of DCE Hungary and also ran the financial services practice for the entire Central European region. Labossiere says his success has been “the product of hard work, determination, driving to results and motivating people to be the best they can be.”

Labossiere’s primary goal in serving on the Master Association is to become involved in the community and to ensure that the association “gets back to what it was meant to be.” What that means to Labossiere is a dedication to educating residents as to what the Master Association does and constantly striving to provide the best services for the residents of CPN.

Labossiere says he does not have a personal stake in the outcome of any issue that affects the board, but states that he “always does what is right for the residents; who are my real ‘clients’. This philosophy drives all decisions that I make and every action I take on the board and on behalf of the residents.”

Labossiere’s independence, skills and strengths can be used to protect the resident’s interests, while providing a personally rewarding experience. Even though it is a volunteer position, he takes it as seriously as he would a paid position in fulfilling the duties and responsibilities that come with being a board member.
