CPN Annual Garage Sale Another Success
More than two hundred residents of Castle Pines North cleaned out their closets, pulled out their lawn chairs and lathered on the sunscreen to host a garage sale in the annual Master Association-sponsored Community Garage Sale held May 20th and 21st.
The temperatures soared in the nineties, but that didn’t prevent bargain hunters from hitting the streets looking for a good deal. Neighborhoods had cars creeping down streets previewing the sale before pulling over for a closer look. Others ventured out on foot with children riding ahead on bikes.
Many see the garage sale as an opportunity to rid their homes of clutter, find treasure in someone else’s trash, but also as a way to slow down and connect with neighbors. One sale boasted great stuff and friendly people. Another sale in a Kings Crossing cul-de-sac was comprised of a group of neighbors collectively selling their wares. In between sales, they could catch-up on life while their children slid on the Slip-in-Slide in the backyard.
