CPN 2011 Budget Update

Staff has prepared the draft 2011 budget for review by the City Council. The budget represents a phased approach to converting some current contracted services to “in-house”. The transition plan concept reduces the scope of the existing CH2M Hill contract, creates two internal year-round positions for the City, and brings other services, such as building permits and inspections, under direct contract with the City. This hybrid approach is expected to provide the City with budgetary savings.
The required budget hearing is scheduled for the November 9, 2010 regular City Council meeting. A copy of the proposed budget will be made available on the City’s website at www.cpngov.com.
