County Plans Extensive Repairs to Monarch Blvd.

Douglas County Public Works plans to make extensive concrete repairs to Monarch Boulevard this summer. As of press time, no official start date had been set.

“The concrete on Monarch is showing signs of normal wear-and-tear caused by age and weather,” said Carl Lucero of Douglas County Public Works.

Monarch Blvd. is the only Castle Pines North road scheduled to be repaired this summer.

Douglas County Public Works evaluated all roads in Castle Pines North, and has determined that none other needs re-paving this summer. Last year, the community endured weeks asphalt overlay work on 15 streets.

“Our department evaluates all public roads in Douglas County on a regular basis, and determines repair needs,” said Lucero. “At this point, all roads in CPN look good, but if any resident believes otherwise, feel free to call me at 303-660-7490, and I will make sure someone re-evaluates their street.”
