County Delays Hearing on Commerical Land in Heart of CPN

The land located on the northwest corner of Castle Pines Parkway and Monarch Boulevard has been zoned for commercial development since the master plan for Castle Pines North was first created in 1984. It is located in the heart of Castle Pines North, between Timber Trail Elementary School and the sledding hill.

Known as “CC-20,” the 15.7 acres of land is owned by Village Homes and Pinark, LLC.

They have submitted plans to Douglas County to subdivide the lot and sell it to potential commercial developers. Only the owner of the land can control what is developed on the property.

County Hearing Date Postponed

A County sign posted on the property indicated a public meeting for CC-20 was scheduled for March 14. The sign has been removed and the Douglas County Planning Commission has postponed the public hearing. A tentative date has been set for April 25, at 7 p.m. (When the exact date of the meeting is determined, a new sign will be posted and the web will be updated.) The public hearing will be held at the Commissioner’s Hearing Room located at 100 Third Street, in Castle Rock.
