On April 2, the City Council voted to appoint Icenogle, North, Smith, Bliezner, Gilida and Pogue as the City’s legal counsel. Attorney Erin M. Smith has been appointed to represent the City of Castle Pines North.

“When it comes to municipal law in Colorado, this firm is second to none,” said Mayor Maureen Shul.

Smith represents various local governments and advises clients in a wide variety of municipal matters such as elections, employment, TABOR, government liability, procurement policies, code enforcement, liquor code enforcement, open records laws, open meetings laws, and local legislative, utility and other municipal matters. Smith also has years of experience in all aspects of land development. Smith holds degrees from Colorado State University and the University of Denver, College of Law.

“In the short time that Attorney Smith has been our city’s legal counsel, it is clear that her extensive background in municipal law has and will continue to serve our city well,” said Shul. “We had some excellent firms interview with our City Council for this position, and feel that Attorney Smith is the perfect fit for our new city.”
