Just as high school commencement ceremonies looked different this year, so too did local elementary and middle school continuation celebrations. Rocky Heights Middle School moved its traditional slideshow online, sending eighth graders off to high school using technology. American Academy honored eighth graders by placing a sign of congratulations in the yard of each student. Timber Trail Elementary placed signs in the yards of students transitioning from fifth to sixth grade, as did Buffalo Ridge Elementary, which also held a decorated car parade at the school. DCS Montessori, as of press time, had not yet celebrated its continuing students but had tentative plans to do so later in the summer.
