Construction underway in business district
Construction got underway in early June on the last developable pad in the Shoppes at Castle Pines business plaza.
Dirt is being moved and fencing has been placed around the future site of Service Street, a vehicle maintenance business that specializes in oil changes, wheel alignments, brake repairs, emissions testing and other services. The project – on the southeast corner of Castle Pines Parkway and Lagae Road – is slated for completion in October.
The 4,500-square-foot auto repair building will contain eight service bays and will be surrounded by landscaping. Situated on 1.37 acres between Ziggi’s Coffee to the north and Berg Haus to the south, it is the last remaining site to be developed in the shopping plaza anchored by King Soopers, said Donna Ferguson, senior planner for the City of Castle Pines.
The main entrance to Service Street, which will accommodate 10 employees, will face north, and bays will be visible from both the east and west sides of the building. Ferguson said the project will adhere to specific architectural standards, thereby helping it blend in with surrounding structures. A portion of the landscaping is intended to shield the side of the building. The tallest portion of the building will measure just over 33 feet.
Service Street also has locations in Highlands Ranch, Parker and Aurora.
