The Castle Pines North Metro District and the Castle Pines North Master Association will host a skateboard park celebration ceremony on Saturday, May 6, at 2 p.m. Children of all ages can bring their skateboards and helmets, and enjoy refreshments, entertainment and activities. (In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to Saturday, May 13.)

Skateboarders are already enjoying the newest park in Castle Pines North (CPN). The new 80-by-100 foot concrete skateboard park is an extension of Coyote Ridge Park and is located north of the parking area. The new park will not be lighted and can be used during normal park hours from dawn until dusk.

This is the first park project built under the direction of Metro District Parks and Open Space Manager Charlie Fagan. “We are thrilled to see this project completed,” said Fagan. “This extension of Coyote Ridge is certainly a facet of recreation that is needed in the community. It will be enjoyed by many for years to come.”

The $170,000 park was built by the CPN Metro District, with a portion of funds donated by the Castle Pines Parks Authority. Homeowner dues to the Master Association are contributed to the Parks Authority to build new park projects in the community.
