Colorado Public Health asks, “What If?”

by Lisa Crockett

Colorado public health experts have spent the last six months using reality-television style ads and games to spread the word about what they feel is one of the most serious issues facing Coloradans today – a possible pandemic flu outbreak. The so-called “What If?” campaign is teaching a handful of contestants how to survive on their own for several days. Lessons learned by contestants teach lessons the Health Department hopes will be valuable to the general public.

Among the top recommendations from the Colorado Department of Public Health: get a flu shot this year and be sure to have at least a few-days worth of food, water, sanitation and household supplies in the house at all times.
