Coffee Chat Tuesday, a new program offered at Douglas County Libraries – Castle Pines that encourages all adults, both men and women to drop in for coffee, conversation and games is off and running. The library staff is excited to welcome participants every Tuesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. throughout the entire year.

For those who attend, it is a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere to meet new neighbors, chat about all kinds of topics, share backgrounds, stories and interests – and enjoy coffee or tea.

“I am definitely coming again,” laughed a newbie to the group. “I moved to the area last year, and this is what I wanted – to meet new people. I enjoyed it immensely.”

Another person shared that she loves living in Castle Pines and wants to make some new acquaintances. “It’s nice to meet in the library. It was a positive experience, and I will come back.”

The Castle Pines librarians are noticing a positive result when new people join each week. “We are pleased to see a few more people each week getting to know each other – this is what Coffee Chat Tuesday is all about.”
