Election season is here
Voters in Castle Pines North (CPN) will vote to fill vacancies in every city council position, as well as mayor, city clerk, and treasurer.
This year’s election will be conducted entirely by mail for all voters in the county. Voters must be registered by October 5, 2009 in order to vote in the election on November 3. Election Day is the last day to vote, and all ballots must be received (not postmarked) by that day. Ballots are scheduled to be mailed to voters beginning on October 12, 2009.

What are the terms of office for the City of Castle Pines North?
The term of office for mayor, treasurer and city clerk is four years. At the November 3, 2009 regular election, the city council candidate receiving the most votes in each city council ward shall be elected to a four-year term. The city council candidate receiving the second most votes in each council ward shall be elected to a two-year term. At the November 2011 regular election, and every four years thereafter, every city council office shall be a four-year term.
How do I know what ward I am in if I live in Castle Pines North?
Ward 1 – Includes the neighborhoods of Daniel’s Gate (all neighborhoods), Amber Ridge, Esperanza, Winter Berry, Tapestry Hills, Bramble Ridge and Hidden Pointe.
Ward 2 – Includes the neighborhoods of Forest Park, Castle Pointe, Pine Ridge, Whisper Canyon, Estates at Buffalo Ridge, Glen Oaks, The Hamlet, Bristle Cone (single and patio), Stone Croft, Green Briar, Briar Cliff, and The Crossings (CC-20).
Ward 3 – Includes the neighborhoods of HOA1 (all neighborhoods), HOA2 (all neighborhoods), The Retreat, Huntington Ridge, Claremont Estates, Lagae Ranch, and The Lodge at Castle Pines (Apartments.)

Will there be a ballot drop off location in CPN?
Ballots may be returned via U.S. mail or dropped off at Castle Rock Bank – 506 Castle Pines Parkway in CPN, or the Wilcox Administration Building – 301 N. Wilcox Street in Castle Rock.
