Christ the King Church to Celebrate Christmas with Narnia
Castle Pines North Residents are invited to join Christ the King Church each Sunday through Christmas as they explore the wonders of the world of “Narnia,” based on C.S. Lewis’ classic book, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. The series will begin November 27 and end on Christmas Day.
“I believe there is an explorer in each of us and the movie Narnia is a great entry point no matter where you are in your journey of faith,” said Dan Weidman, Pastor of Christ the King Church. “Much like C.S. Lewis did in his classic series, The Chronicles of Narnia, we are always looking for ways to make the true message of the Bible understandable and accessible to people of all ages. Narnia provides us with just such an opportunity. It is a wonderful backdrop to discover the true meaning of Christmas and how we can experience Christmas in our lives as it was intended,” Weidman said.
Christ the King Church begins their series, Celebrating Christmas with Narnia, on November 27th. Topics include:
The Narnia Explorer in All of Us – Nov. 27th
Why it’s Always Winter and Never Christmas – Dec. 4th
Have you Met the King? – Dec. 11th
Christmas and the Great Trade – Dec. 18th
Christmas Comes to Narnia for Everyone – Dec. 24th
Lining Out Your True Identity – Dec. 25th
Christ the King Church meets weekly at the DCS Montessori School on Castle Pines Parkway. Sunday service times are 9 a.m. for children’s and adult classes and 10:30 a.m. for worship. In addition, a special Christmas Eve service is planned for the whole family at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 24th.
