The Village at Castle Pines was the setting for the eighth annual chili cook-off on a beautiful October day. Several hundred people came out to enjoy a day of delicious homemade chili, live music from local band Blue Zone and fun with friends and neighbors.
Charmaine Calderon-Balcerzak from Charmaine’s Bella Colour Salon brought her homemade green chili and had a blast. “I really enjoyed the chili cook-off; it was fun and I met many of the local residents. I love cooking, and I participated because many of my friends and family really enjoy my green chili and my homemade salsa – which is one of the ingredients that I add to my chili,” Balcerzak remarked.
Special congratulations to red chili winner Andrea Noufer of LIV Sotheby’s and green chili winner Craig Hood with Choody’s Chili.
