Children’s Events Planned at Lone Tree Rec Center

Several unique cultural events are planned for children at the Lone Tree Recreation Center this fall. The events do not require registration and are free to the public. For more information, visit the South Suburban Parks and Recreation website at www.sspr.org.


In Search of Giants

On October 21 at 3 p.m. the Lone Tree Recreation Center will present “In Search of Giants.” Betsy Tobin and the Now or Never Theater tell the story of a child’s quest of legendary heroes using puppets, acting and great theater. Michael Stanwood accompanies the show with enchanting and inventive music using a wide variety of instruments. Pre-registration is not required.


Tiny Tots Concerts

On November 18, two Tiny Tots Concerts will be presented at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Tiny Tots Concert is a unique program developed by the Junior Symphony Guild to introduce children ages three to seven to symphonic
music. Pre-registration is not required.


Winter Holiday Magic Book

The Lone Tree Recreation Center will also present “Winter Holiday Magic Book” on December 16, at 3 p.m. Marta Barnard makes books magic when they come to life in this one-woman show. Vampire Bugs light up the forest sky, Grandma Spider weaves the earth and the land of the sun together and the Dancing Granny has the audience traveling around the world. Pre-registration is not required.
