Child Care Center Slated for Walgreens Shopping Area

by Lisa Crockett

An independently-owned day care center has signed a purchase agreement for a pad currently under development on the north side of Castle Pines Parkway at Lagae Road. Max Heitzmann, vice president at Anxon, Inc., which is developing the property, said that three of the four pads planned for the site are now filled.

“Currently, we have the day care, a Grease Monkey auto-care store with a car wash, and a Walgreens store,” said Heitzmann. “The final pad is still not filled.” This will be the first child care facility in Castle Pines North.

The Walgreens store will be completed first. Heitzmann estimates that construction on the store will begin sometime this month, weather permitting. He expects that Walgreens will open its doors sometime in the fall, and that the other two projects will be completed in late 2008 or early 2009.
