Celebrating milestones
Lisa Linn is having a banner year. She and her husband, Brandon, are toasting their 25th wedding anniversary; the family business, Brandon Linn Orthodontics in Castle Pines and Highlands Ranch, has been straightening teeth for 20 years; and Lisa is celebrating being seven years cancer free.
Lisa and Brandon met in Vail 30 years ago. “I instantly fell in love with Brandon,” Lisa shared. Lisa worked at Goldman Sachs as a bond trader, while Brandon studied his way through 11+ years of school to become an orthodontist. The couple lived in Chicago and Milwaukee but knew they wanted to return to Colorado eventually.
Brandon joined a Castle Pines practice 20 years ago, located near Ziggi’s Coffee. He then purchased the practice, which also has a location in Highlands Ranch. Today, the Castle Pines location is at 361 Village Square Drive.
Of the big anniversary, Lisa effused, “As his wife, I am so proud of him and how hard he has worked. Brandon is the most compassionate human being and truly loves what he does. I want to shout it from the rooftops!”
Lisa handles the financial part of the business, which she said keeps her sharp, contributing to running the business and being part of the team. Lisa added that they have a fiercely loyal staff who are like family and that the employees truly get to know their patients and what is happening in their lives.
The practice is generous in giving back. They work with many organizations, including Hope Held by a Horse, Toys for Tots, Make-A-Wish, Second Wind Fund, Drennen’s Dreams and Erika’s Lighthouse. They also often sponsor local elementary schools in various ways.
When Lisa was on her cancer journey seven years ago, she said, “Our community near and far rallied around us during that time; we were so humbled. It was emotionally hard for Brandon to go back to work, but he was able to get through it due to the amazing people in our lives, several of whom did not even know us. As a family, it was life-changing.”
“Please go and get your mammogram,” Lisa implored, “Get it on the calendar no matter what. My cancer was super aggressive and if I had waited, who knows if I would be alive today.”
The Linns have been in their house in the Greenbriar neighborhood for 21 years and have three children, Kennedy (20), Harper (18) and Cooper (16).
Celebrations are in the works for all of the Linns’ milestones.
