Castle Rock Fire and Rescue chief retires

Information and photo provided by the Town of Castle Rock

After nearly 40 years of firefighting, Castle Rock Fire and Rescue Chief Art Morales is retiring.

Morales said he was blessed by his time in the Town of Castle Rock (Town) and has many memories to cherish as he enjoys retirement.

Chief Morales was appointed Castle Rock’s fire chief in March 2003. Prior to joining the Town, Morales worked for the Thornton Fire Department for 23 years, where he worked his way up to deputy fire chief.

Castle Rock’s Deputy Fire Chief Norris Croom will step in as interim fire chief as the Town begins a nationwide search to fill the position.
