Rocky Heights Inline Hockey Club Plays for State Championship
Congratulations to 30 Rocky Heights students for a great season playing in the Colorado Middle School Inline Hockey League. Two of the club’s teams will be playing in the State Finals this Saturday, December 10th at Express Sports, 8412 N. Huron St. in Thorton, CO.
The Gold team went undefeated for the season and had two decisive victories in the playoff games that sent them onto the State Championship. Saturday, December 10th they will play ThunderRidge Middle School as they compete for the title of top Middle School in Colorado. The game will begin at 3 p.m.
The bronze team will play North Arvada middle School for third place in the State Championship. The game will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday.
A total of 17 Middle Schools participated in this 3-month season, ranging from Fort Collins to Colorado Springs. The Rocky Heights Club fielded three teams: Bronze, Silver and Gold. These teams were made up of 6th, 7th and 8th graders.
The Gold team is: Collin Abitz, Sean Badali, Thomas Hernandez, JT Kiefer, Max McDade, Conor Reagan, Logan Riley, and our two goalies, Graham Marshall and Blake Landin.
The Silver team is: Joey Costello, Eli Dykes, Joel Goers, Mark Hernandez, Cort Lawrence, Dillon Lehl, Drake Ludwig, John Maslin, Tom Rosenkrans, and Kels Tomzak.
The Bronze team is: Chris Campbell, Justin Clark (Wildcat Elem), Alex Dagner, Nathan Hunter, Drew Kragel, Justin Reed, Elliott Roberts, Jacob Smith, Hunter Smith, and Goalies Trenton Davin and Zach Quail.
