Get your library cards ready and check-out some great books. The Castle Pines Library is bustling with activities and touting longer hours to start off the New Year. Browse the shelves on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and join a book club or attend a great family event.
In January, The Case of the Missing Marquess: An Enola Holmes Mystery Book, kicked-off the first Castle Pines Library Book Club – for mothers and daughters. This book club is geared for girls ages eight to twelve and their mother, aunt, grandmother or other adult. As of now, a second Mother/Daughter Book Club is slated for Monday, March 8. If the response is good, this book club will continue to meet every other month.
In the months in-between the Mother/Daughter Book Club, a Fantasy/Sci Fi Book Club will take place. The first Fantasy/Sci Fi Book Club is planned for Monday, February 22.
This book club is also geared for children 8 to12 and a parent or other adult. “Reading together is a great way for parents and kids to connect. In addition to providing an opening for thoughtful conversation, book clubs are a fun, safe way to meet others in our community,” said Beth Dalton, Castle Pines librarian.
