After serving the vision needs of the Castle Pines community for 17 years, Castle Pines Eye Care is expanding and changing its name to Black Diamond Eye Care.
From humble beginnings in 2002 within a strip mall of what was then Castle Pines North, Castle Pines Eye Care has been quite a success story. Following his acquisition of the practice in 2007, to the construction and relocation to a state-of-the-art medical and dental building in the City of Castle Pines in 2012, to now opening a new practice in Castle Rock and acquiring another in Lakewood, Dr. Jason Ortman has been a very busy man leading at the helm.
“We are growing our practice and updating our brand at all locations to better align with our mission,” stated Ortman. “The staff and doctors at Black Diamond Eye Care are your experts in vision care.”
A contributing factor in Ortman’s success has been his tireless involvement in the community and his commitment to giving back. Ortman is a twice-elected member and chairman of the Castle Pines Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, he is a former board member of the Douglas County Kiwanis, and he has volunteered his time with numerous charitable organizations (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity, Gift of Sight Foundation, Optometry Giving Sight and OneSight), helping to establish temporary and sustainable eye care clinics abroad. In addition, Ortman is a regular sponsor of many local community events, schools and organizations. This, in addition to being the longest running advertiser in The Connection newspaper, having participated in every single issue ever printed (all 121 issues)!
Castle Pines resident and long-standing optician at Castle Pines Eye Care, Debbie Stuart, will manage the new Castle Rock location when it opens this month. “We are thrilled to extend the practice into Castle Rock to deliver excellence in vision to a greater number of Coloradans,” said Stuart.
The Castle Rock location will open in early July at 3993 Limelight Ave., near the AMC Castle Rock 12 movie theater. Alpine Vision Center, located at 8585 W. 14th Avenue in Lakewood, was acquired in February 2018 and will become Black Diamond Eye Care as well.
Black Diamond Eye Care Practice Manager Michelle Chalupa added, “We are very excited to be opening additional offices to better serve our patients. Our commitment to incomparable eye care remains unchanged.”
Ortman added, “Our growth is fueled by our passion to provide highly personalized care. Our staff and doctors look forward to building upon our strong foundation we have built over the past 17 years in Castle Pines, Lakewood, and now Castle Rock.”
