Castle Pines Country Club Offers New Memberships

Castle Pines Village is home to two Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses. The International Golf Tournament, held in August, is played on one of these courses and draws much media attention each year.

The other course recently underwent an arranged member buyout. The Country Club at Castle Pines is now one of the few private member-controlled clubs in the region. Membership to the club has been full for many years, but this transition has created a limited number of available memberships for residents living in Castle Pines North and other locations outside the Village.

According to General Manager, Tom Snell, Castle Pines Country Club has a clear direction. Snell says, “Our club is a first class experience, whether you and your family are dining, socializing, or playing golf.” The $1.2 million of Clubhouse and course improvements are almost complete.

The club recently added John Ogden as Head Pro. Ogden has had a career as a touring golf professional and as head assistant at Cherry Hills Golf Club. His staff includes Sherry Smith, who is rated in the top 100 female teachers nationally by Golf Digest. Sean Mackin, formerly a lead instructor of Golf Tec is also a staff member. Adult and junior golf programs and events abound.

New members can still enjoy the bulk of the 2005 golf season. Interested parties may contact Tom Snell at 303-688-7400.
