Linda Bulmer and Melissa Howard, two Castle Pines residents and friends, opened their specialty shop, Bellezza Boutique on Black Friday just in time for the holidays.

Located in the newly-renovated Streets of Southglenn, Bellezza Boutique has more than 40 popular brands filling the racks and lining the shelves, including Twist Yoga Wear, Miss Me, Corky Boots, Down East, Reign and many more.

“Women, any age, can leave our store feeling competent, hip and in style,” said Bulmer.

In addition to the many clothing brands to choose from, Bellezza is also proud to support local artisans. The jewelry in the store is hand crafted by three local artists and each piece is a one-of-a-kind that a shopper couldn’t find anywhere else. Bellezza also has it’s own line of natural bath products made from goats milk. Looking for home décor? Bellezza sells artwork of local painters and photographers and has an entire line of handmade cards for any special occasion.

Opening a specialty shop came naturally to both Bulmer and Howard. Bulmer had worked as a wholesale buyer for boutique shops and Howard has been in the retail business for more than ten years. Each owner brings complimentary aspects to Bellezza.

“I may love a particular piece in red, while Linda likes the softer tones,” commented Howard.

Together they provide a well-rounded selection that appeals to a wide group of women.

Bulmer and Howard researched and shopped around quite a bit before landing at the Streets of Southglenn, which is the redeveloped site of the former Southglenn Mall located at the corner of University Boulevard and Arapahoe Road.

The shopping center houses many specialty shops as well as big anchor stores like Staples and Macys. It is also home to apartments, business suites, the Arapahoe Community Library and the University of Phoenix. With a movie theater and an ice skating rink, there are many special events. In the summer there is even a farmer’s market.

“Southglenn just seemed new and fresh and so is our business,” said Bulmer.

Bellezza is open for holiday hours Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m. Stop in and shop for that unique, one-of-a kind gift.
