Spring is in the air and summer calendars are starting to fill in with family vacations, summer camps and sports.
In their eleventh season the local swim team, the Castle Crocs will once again provide a fun and healthy recreational experience for children ages five to 18 that live within the City of Castle Pines. The team promotes a recreational experience with an emphasis on the concepts of fair play, good sportsmanship, and a team effort.
Morning practices begin right after Memorial Day and run until July 23 and are held at local community pools. Throughout the season there will be six dual meets against teams from the south metro area, as well as a preliminary, championship and all-star meet. The Crocs are a member of the Mountain High Swim League and will swim in the A2 Division for the 2016 season.
Dual meets are held each Saturday morning June 4, 11, 18, 25 and July 9. Preliminary swim meets are divided by age group on the mornings of July 11, 12 and 13. Qualifying swimmers will participate in the championship meet on July 16. Swimmers who swim an event under a designated time will be invited to swim in the all-star meet on July 23.
