Canyons South Update
The Canyons development, which lies to the east of Castle Pines North across Interstate-25, is divided into two separate sections. The northern portion extends from the Castle Pines Parkway interchange south to Crowfoot Valley Road. Canyons South fills the land between Crowfoot Valley Road and the new Pradera neighborhood.
The sketch plan for the 2,043-acre southern portion was recently recommended for approval by the Douglas County Planning Commission. This is the first step in a process that the developer must make with Douglas County. Canyons South is owned by Lowe Enterprises, and future houses built will not be visible from CPN.
The northern section of the development, carrying the most impact for CPN, is owned by the Alpert Corporation. To date, there are no plans filed with Douglas County to begin construction.
