Canyon Fitness continues to host amazing events for its members that are not only enjoyable, but highlight and raise money for worthwhile causes.
On October 29, the club held an all-day breast cancer awareness event that succeeded in raising $2,300 for the Jill Lamb Foundation, a local charity that provides financial assistance and services to families dealing with breast cancer.
More than 400 club members, friends and community members participated in the fun-filled day, which culminated in an evening that included live music from Danny Garzelloni and Grandpa Boots, delicious food from The Social, Anthony’s, Tony’s Market, and Curry Cakery, and a special “groove” cardio dance class complete with a live DJ.
Lynn Veltri is a long-time club member who tried “groove” for the first time and thoroughly enjoyed all of the evening’s offerings. “The event was an evening of friends, community and support for a great cause. There was great food, an awesome band, and of course Canyon Fitness energy!” remarked Veltri. “It was nice to come together … workout, eat, laugh and visit with friends to raise money and awareness for breast cancer. Canyon fitness is always filled with such positive and friendly energy.”
