Calling all sculptors!

Sculptures currently being displayed throughout Douglas County.
The Douglas County Art Encounters organization is looking for local sculptors with works-in-progress or completed art that is ready to be seen.
Founded in 2007, Art Encounters is a year-long, outdoor sculpture exhibit showcasing sculptures, in various media and styles, displayed in highly visible areas in Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker and Roxborough. The sculptures are viewed by thousands of visitors annually.
Art Encounters was created by citizen advocates for the arts to promote public interest in art, develop community pride and draw visitors to the retail and civic areas where pieces are displayed. Since the program’s inception, 24 pieces have been purchased or donated. This year’s selected works will be on display from May 2025 to May 2026.
Interested artists may submit artwork through the Douglas County website no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21. Those selected will receive a $1,200 stipend if their work is displayed. To learn more, visit douglas.co.us and search “art.”
