Buying and Selling Galore at the Community Garage Sale

by Elean Gersack

Buyers and sellers alike enjoyed the crowds at the Master Association’s Community Garage Sale on May 19 and 20. Hundreds of Castle Pines North (CPN) residents registered sale items on the website and attracted buyers from throughout the greater Denver area.

“I received great feedback from residents regarding the sale,” said Carla Kenny, Social Event Planner for the CPN Master Association. “Utilizing the web, in conjunction with classified ads, seemed to make a huge difference in our ability to attract buyers to the area – and ultimately, that helped Castle Pines North residents sell more of their items.” Sellers also helped market their goods by creating signs throughout the neighborhoods. This helped would-be buyers who just happened to be driving around.

For local residents, it was fun to get out and chat with neighbors. Many were seen walking, biking or driving around in search of special treasures. Baby gear, furniture, clothing, and toys seemed to be some of the most sought-after merchandise.

Any items that did not sell during the garage sale can still be donated to a local charity, such as:
