Business in the Pines knows how many helpful people there are in Castle Pines North (CPN). As a community leader, Business in the Pines is initiating a volunteer database whereby individuals can sign up to help with community events.

Without volunteers, event leaders are faced with too much to do with too few resources. Handling entire events without help is a daunting task. “Volunteers can really make the events,” said Paul Arvidson, vice president and branch manager of Castle Rock Bank at Castle Pines and chairman of the board of Business in the Pines.

Volunteers can help with posting signs, directing traffic, running concession stands, and helping with set-up and tear-down for events such as Octoberfest, Easter Fest, Holiday Carriage Rides, Market in the Pines, Concert in the Park, and Movie in the Park.

Eventually, Arvidson would like to utilize the volunteer database for additional community needs. For example, local groups like Kiwanis of Castle Pines, churches and schools may be in need of assistance. Arvidson believes that this is a great way for local groups – such as boy scouts and girl scouts or church organizations to lend a helping hand and obtain community volunteer hours at the same time.

Those interested in signing up to help with future community volunteer needs can visit www.businessinthepines.com and click on “Events” and then on “Volunteers.”
