On April 17, DCS Montessori School (DCSM) held its nineteenth annual spring gala fundraiser at Sanctuary.  More than 140 parents and teachers kicked up their heels at this year’s Boot Scootin’ Ball.

The evening began with guests enjoying the Sanctuary patio for cocktails and photos of the magnificent scenery and sunset.  Excitement was in the air for a night of casino games, dancing and an auction, which included silent auction items such as condominium stays in the mountains, gift baskets, artwork, a brewery tour, vet for a day, and principal for a day.  A live auction for the evening’s most popular item, a signed Peyton Manning football, had bidders excitedly competing with one another.

“Our 19th annual spring gala, Boot Scootin’ Ball was a fabulous event that raised funds for our new gymnasium floor, which the entire DCSM community is excited to have,” said Samantha Cohen, Montessori Education Foundation president.  “Parents and teachers tried their hands at being high rollers with the casino night activities, danced until the late hours of the evening, and everyone took home a crazy group photo or two from the Western-themed photo booth!”

The Boot Scootin’ Ball raised approximately $35,000, and Cohen noted that DCSM is thankful for the support of the community and school families.  Without such support, the school could not achieve its fundraising goals and continue to make DCSM a place for inspired education.  Event sponsors included CKPD, Castle Pines Orthodontics, Brandon Linn Orthodontics, Pediatric Denticare, Three Peaks Capital Management, Loan Simple, Regen Farms, Total Orthodontics, Subaru, Parry’s Pizza, The Gan Family and Kids 1st Dental.

“All in all an amazing fundraiser for an amazing school,” said Cohen, who is already looking forward to celebrating DCSM’s 20th anniversary in the upcoming school year.
