Bookmobile Offers Wealth of Information for CPN Students

Back to school means back to homework and projects. While the Internet is a great resource, it will never totally replace a visit to the library.

Castle Pines North’s Bookmobile has a permanent collection of about 3,000 items, but has access to everything in the Douglas County Library system. Any item can be ordered and delivered to the bookmobile for pick-up right here in CPN.

“Bookmobile librarians are always happy to assist students with the available bookmobile resources,” says Peg Hooper, Satellite Services Manager for the Douglas County Library District.

Why use the Bookmobile when you have Internet Access at home? According to Hooper, “The internet is somewhat like a large city. There are amazing and wonderful things out there, but also some scary and dangerous things. When a librarian assists a student in a library database search, the results are more trustworthy.”

“With library databases, you are guaranteed that searches will yield peer-reviewed information that can be used for a school project or paper,” said Hooper.

The Bookmobile is located at 7284 Lagae Road in the King Sooper’s parking lot. Visit the Bookmobile on Sundays from noon to 5 p.m., and Mondays and Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Call 303-886-6488 for more information.
