Battle of the Books

Douglas County Libraries Battle of the Books (BOTB) continues to be a huge success with teams of third through sixth grade students. BOTB is a book trivia tournament that engages hundreds of students each year. Teams compete against each other in interschool battles and a finals tournament to determine a districtwide champion for all of Douglas County.
The DCS Montessori (DCSM) third and fourth grade team finished the regular season in first place, while the DCSM fifth and sixth grade team moved all the way to the district championship bringing home the winning title.
Buffalo Ridge Elementary sent two fifth grade teams and one third and fourth grade team to this year’s semifinals. Although both teams lost in the semifinal round, the fifth grade team held 4-1 while the third and fourth grade team held 5-0 during the regular BOTB season.
