Members of local area Brownie and Girls Scouts troops partnered with members from the Douglas County Libraries Foundation and held an old-fashioned bake sale to help raise funds for the Castle Pines Library set to open in September.

Spearheaded by Girl Scout co-chairs Tara McMahon and Susan Pfeiffer, the bake sale was held at the HOA2 pavilion during the dual swim meet between the Castle Crocs and the Storm. The sale raised $351 toward the library.

From the members of the Brownie and Girl Scout troops who baked dozens of brownies, cookies and other goodies, to the swimming families who supported the sale with their dollars, a myriad of community members were responsible for the donation.
