Back to school for DCS Montessori
On Friday, August 13, DCS Montessori will hold a back-to-school open house. This is a chance for new and returning students to visit classrooms and meet teachers before the start of school. Lower and upper elementary students are also invited to drop off their school supplies during the visit so they do not have to lug them in on the first day of school.
The open house always helps to relieve new teacher jitters – especially for new students to the school, and teachers enjoy visiting with students casually before the school year formally begins. Students and parents are encouraged to stop by any time during the assigned hours, and most families end up staying for about thirty minutes.
The first day of school for kindergarten through sixth graders is Monday, August 16. Preschoolers will begin shortly after that date and will receive an email with specific start date details.
