Author wins awards for two books
Author, The Connection writer and Briar Cliff resident Susan Helton has much to celebrate. She recently won two awards for her books: in the fantasy category, Crystalborne Sigils (by her pen name S. Lynn Helton) and in the young children’s category, Min the Cat Who Guards the Castle, (pen name Lynn Helton). The Incipere Awards by Entrada Publishing are yearly awards for exceptional writing in various fiction and non-fiction categories.
Susan’s family helped in the endeavor. Her eldest daughter created the artwork for the cover of the fantasy novel, and her younger daughter did the character artwork on the children’s book, based on one of the family’s cats, a torbie-Manx mix. To date, Susan has published eight fantasy and three children’s picture books.
Congratulations, Susan!
