Fall could not be ushered in without football games, pumpkin-flavored everything, colorful trees and, of course, the annual Turweston Lane Chili Cook Off. The eighth annual event was held September 24, and despite cold, rainy weather that forced participants to relocate to the HOA2 clubhouse, the beloved tradition continued.
In the main dish category, first place went to the Laity family for Green Thunder Chili, second place went to the Ware family for Chicken Enchilada Chili, and third place was awarded to the Zehnder family for Castle Pines Green Chili.
In the side dish/appetizer category, the Squires family came in first place with KC Mac & Cheese, second place went to the Sadler family for Chorizo Stuffed Mushrooms, and the Benedict family took home third place for Buffalo Chicken Cupcakes.
In the dessert category, the Laity family was awarded first place for Brownie Delight, the Sadler family came in second place for their Apple Tart, and third place went to the Johnson family for their cupcakes.
