An epic summer adventure

Summer is all about getting outside, being active and letting the inner child loose. Fourteen DCS Montessori (DCSM) fourth-to-eighth graders experienced the great outdoors firsthand while they attended DCSM’s Epic Adventure (EA) camp.

During the week-long camp, EA campers enjoyed nature’s playground dodging infrared laser beams during a friendly game of laser tag at the United Stated Air Force Academy before cooling off at Bear Creek Lake Park for a day of paddle boarding. One day was a visit to Evergreen Lake Park. Windy conditions begat an indoor activity on one occasion: Beau Jo’s for Colorado-styled pizza.

The final day challenged campers’ inner ninja skills with balance, agility and speed at the Epic Sky trek, the four-story, aerial trekking course at the EDGE Ziplines & Adventures in Castle Rock.
