American Academy eighth graders graduate in style

Last month’s eighth grade graduation at American Academy (AA) was a lovely event that saw 29 students cross the threshold into young adulthood. Diplomas were handed out and accepted, parents and teacher wept with joy and pride and all was right with the world. Parent volunteer Holly Landauer put together a slide show complete with music that made the evening complete.
Another group of students were also bustling around that night. These were the seventh grade ushers, students who volunteered to come and help make the evening go smoothly for the eighth graders and their families. They set up balloons, handed out programs, gave directions, poured lemonade, served up cake and kept it coming once the crowds descended into the cafeteria for the reception. They dressed up, did the work willingly and without complaint.
AA is very proud of these seventh graders as well as the graduates!
