For the first time, American Academy (AA) Performing Arts presented and performed a holiday classic, A Christmas Carol (The Musical) that filled the hearts of many with the true spirit of the season. The show, which ran from December 1 to 10, sold out all eleven performances at The Schoolhouse at Mainstreet in Parker. There were three casts comprised of students from all three AA campuses. Each cast had its own name: Jingle Bells, Yuletide and Nutcracker.

Adapted from Charles Dickens’ novel, the tale follows the journey of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge. The cast captivated the audience with the three Christmas spirits that Scrooge encounters as he is guided on a path through the past, present and what is yet to come, transforming him into a man of empathy and kindness.

“Their collective magic transformed the stage into a festive haven of goodwill and enchantment!” declared Jeremi Richardson, AA performing arts manager.

“We have loved putting on this production. All performances illuminated the season’s spirit that created a symphony of warmth and joy that resonated long after the final curtain fell,” added Jeremi.

Julianna Perez dazzled the audience with her star performance as Scrooge when he faced the visit of the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come in A Christmas Carol (The Musical).
